Our Special Needs & Diversity committee works to raise awareness about the myriad of communities that make up our school and community. Through beautiful displays and informational presentations, each month our Wildcat students, faculty, and staff learn about different cultures, the prestigious figures from those cultures, and their contributions. Moreover, each month a neurodivergent diagnosis or physcial disability is highlighted. Within that recognition myths are disspelled, facts are highlighted, and individuals with that diagnosis are celebrated.
Lung Cacer Awareness Month
We've created a fun program called After School Snack. This program provides opportunities for students to hear from and experience foods from different cultures. For the past two years we've hosted an AAPI After School Snack inviting students to enjoy some delcacies while hearing from our presenters about the foods that symbolize their culture and the role their culture plays in their life and the lives of those around them.
